FILM CLIP OF THE WEEK: “Baby” by Angharad Drake

The haunting video for Angharad Drake’s new single “Baby” just launched and we’re proud to nominate it as our film clip of the week – click play on the below link:

“Baby” tells the tale of a battered relationship and the paranoia that comes with it, yet the eerie video takes it to a new visual landscape. With a fly-on-the-wall perspective, the video shows us the climatic moment where everything goes awry. A tragedy filtered with breathtaking scenic shots, “Baby” is the picture perfect rendition of pure heartbreak.

FILM CLIP OF THE WEEK – “Someone Sometime” by Major Leagues

Following an east coast tour in support of their latest fuzz-laden single ‘Someone Sometime’, Brisbane’s Major Leagues have released an accompanying video for the track.

The clip was filmed throughout a number of locations on New Zealand’s North and South islands by Australian photographer and filmmaker Theresa Fryer, starring Australian model and blogger Elle May Leckenby.

‘Someone Sometime’ was recorded in Brisbane at Plutonium Studios by Miro Mackie, and mixed by Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Blouse member, Jacob Portrait.  The single has already been heavily supported by Australian community radio stations including SYN FM, FBi Radio and 4ZZZ, achieving a Top 3 position in AMRAP’s Metro AirIt Chart.

The Someone Sometime Tour saw Major Leagues complete their first bout of Australian touring in 2015 prior to their upcoming appearance at Bigsound 2015 in September.

Heavy and Weird are happy to run “Someone Sometime” as our clip of the week – read our thoughts on the single via the following link:
